Any discomfort is quickly over when the wax technician performs the job efficiently.
Shumai-Chi, uses only European wax to soothe our clients. Hard wax is used in the most delicate areas of the body. Our Hard Wax is infused with lanolin and comforting herbs to soothes the skin, leaving your skin smooth and non-irritated.

We specialize in waxing and have been doing the Brazilian wax for 15 yrs. After searching the world for the best products, we use only high quality waxes that come from the UK and France that are not contaminated with low quality ingredients that compromise the integrity of the skin, leaving your skin in stellar condition. Helpful Hints for First Time Waxers
- Shumai-Chi recommends a 1/4 inch of growth for best results when waxing; normally 2-3 weeks of growth after shaving. Depending on individuals growth patterns, 3 weeks growth delivers the best results. I know it will drive you crazy, but you won't regret it.
- Hair cycles run in about 5 week patterns. If you want to sustain a smooth and hair free skin, maintenance waxing is recommended every 3-5 weeks for the best results. After a dedicated regimen of waxing, the growth patterns are stunned and slow down to 5-8 week maintenance.
- Hair removal can be performed on all areas of the body where there is unwanted hair. Never worry about feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable in asking for hair-removal on any area of the body.
- Shumai-Chi recommends exfoliating the day before your service. This helps to lift the hair from the skin and remove dead skin cells in preparation of a waxing service to deliver the smoothest results. Dry brushing is a wonderful way to gently exfoliate the skin and not irritate the skin before a hair removal service.
- Worried about ingrown hairs and bumps after your waxing service? The simple use of our proprietary silver water over the area waxed 1-3 times per week resolves any bacterial issues that may be created by exercise, intimacy or the simple friction from clothing. Tea Tree essential oil is a favorite for the natural skin guru. We also offer Yonka's Creme 15 for any post waxing service or any break-outs on the skin for a beautiful skin regime.
